Gary Radersma is in his
fifth year of coaching the
Calvin's boys varsity golf
team, four years as the head
coach. He has also been
Calvin's roller hockey coach
in the past.
Coach Radersma began college
at
York University in
Toronto, Canada
before proceeding
south to attend
Calvin College in
Michigan. While at
Calvin he
captained the ice hockey
team to an American
Collegiate Hockey
Association
StateChampionship and third
place at Nationals.
In 2002
once again went
south, to
San Diego, in pursuit
of an education, this time
to support his recent career
change. While attending the
SD Golf Academy, he met his
wife Dorissa (Kuipers), a
teacher at Calvin Christian.
After a two year career as
an assistant golf
professional, Gary returned
to his old career, that of
golf course maintenance. He
is presently the Assistant
Superintendent at the
Country Club of
Rancho Bernardo.
The Radersma family attends
Crossroads Christian
Reformed Church.
