About Me: My name is Mr. Doug Van Solkema. My wife is Mrs. Linda Van Solkema, a  math teacher at Ranch Buena Vista high school. I grew up in the Midwest and then moved out here to teach after I graduated from Calvin College in 1980. I have been teaching at Calvin Christian since March of 1980 and have been teaching high school Bible classes since 1990. My wife and I have three children--Jodi, Megan , and Anna who all attend Calvin. My hobbies include: fishing, hiking, volleyball, reading, and traveling with our family during summer breaks. I
