The
Klompen Dancers Practice for the Big Day

This year's
Dutch Festival fundraiser was the largest ever. Organized by the
Mothers' Club, the Dutch Festival honors the founders of the
school. In addition to the traditional events like the klompen
(wood-shoe) dancers, oliebollen, stroopwaffles and auctions,
there were some new ones like the "jail" and the jousting. Both
those familiar and new to Calvin enjoyed the food, fun and
fellowship.

This every
other year event raises money for new projects at Calvin
Christian School. This year it reached the goal of raising over
$60,000 for a new school bus.
