The 5th graders in Mr. Lapka’s and Mrs.
Memmelaar’s classes recently completed a Science unit on
insects. After spending a few weeks learning about insect body
parts, operating systems, orders, and other interesting facts,
the unit was capped off with an insect project. This year’s
fifth graders showed off what they learned by making insect
posters and display boards, having live ant farms, building
insects, and displaying real insect collections. To top it all
off, they displayed their projects and shared what they made
with the entire preschool and elementary school.
