On Friday, April 27, over 50 Calvin Christian High School
students fasted the entire day (and then some) to raise money
and awareness for millions of starving children in the world.
Over $3,600 were earned, enough to feed 10 children for an
entire year! We praise God for the love shown by these students,
and for the prayers and donations from those that supported
them.
The money was donated to World Vision, a Christian
humanitarian organization dedicated to working with children,
families and their communities worldwide to reach their full
potential by tackling the causes of poverty and injustice. In
2006, 87 percent of World Vision's total revenue was used to
directly benefit the poor.
