It's time for
Calvin Christian High School students to sign-up for next year's
classes!
Current 8th grade students and
their parents are invited to a Registration Meeting on Thursday
night, April 19, at 7:30 p.m. in the high school library. (Note:
there is also an Eighth Grade Graduation Parent Meeting at 7
p.m. on Thursday night.) Important information about course
options and programs will be presented at the meeting.
Completed Course Selection
Worksheets are due from all prospective high school students
by Tuesday, April 24. Forms may be turned in at the high
school office. Forms can be downloaded from the Course

Robotics
Students in this
course use the advanced LEGO® Challenge Set to create and
program many different robots.

Web Site Design
In this course the
students not only learn how to design web sites, but also take
responsibility for creating Calvin’s Student Web Site!

Apologetics
This course is an
introduction to classic apologetics. The students study
worldviews, world religions, and methods of defending the truth
of Christianity, all in order to grow in their faith and to be
more effective witnesses for God.
Modern History
What do these have
in common? Bay of Pigs; Disco music; Ho Chi Mien Trail; Nikita
Khrushchev; Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band -- They are
all covered in the Modern History course! Modern history studies
the events from the end of WWII to the present, including
politics, fashion, art, architecture, war, music, culture,
philosophy and movies. We use a lot of debate and presentations
in learning the material.
Current Issues
Do you know who Hillary Rodham
Clinton, Vladimir Putin, and Steve Jobs are? These are the type
of people that we learn about in Current Issues. If you are
interested in current events and the ideas that shape our
culture you will enjoy the course. Current Issues class is for
everyone-- from the knowledgeable to the naïve. There is no
textbook for this course. We use the newspaper, magazines and
the Student Affairs journal.
Computer Programming
Students in this
course use their creative and technical abilities to design
interesting, robust and practical computer programs that run on
almost any personal computer.
