 According
to its long-standing tradition, Calvin Christian School began
its new school year with the
Convocation
ceremony. The entire student body, over 500 students, gathered
together with faculty, staff, parents, grandparents and others
from Calvin's community to begin the year by acknowledging we
all belong to God. According to tradition, everyone sang "This
Is My Father's World" together as well as "Awesome God".Mr.
Bill Stout, the Director of Admissions, gave an inspirational
speech on the this year's theme, "The Way of Wisdom", based on
Proverbs 1:7 which says, "The fear of the LORD is the beginning
of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and discipline."
One of the highlights of this year's ceremony was when the
Superintendent, Mr. Kok, introduced the newest members of the
school, the class of 2019. The kindergarteners beamed as they
waved to their cheering classmates.
