opportunities and encourage
participation by a large number of
students.
A

now available to elementary and junior
high students who desire to learn
additional Spanish. The beginning
class for new students is offered every
second semester, while the advanced
class is offered during the first
semester. Classes are held after
school twice a week. For more

Fine
Arts |
| The fine
arts are highly valued at Calvin
Christian, a reflection of the creative
beauty of our God. In addition to a wide
variety of arts opportunities in the
curriculum, the school offers several
options in the co-curricular program as
well. These programs present another
avenue to develop the skills, discipline
and character that are consistent with a
Biblical world and life view.
In addition
to choir and band, each spring students
have an opportunity to participate in
the Fine Arts Festival. The
Fine Arts Festival is the culmination of
several months of work by all 5th-8th
grade students. The categories
include visual arts, vocal music,
instrumental music, drama, speech,
creative writing, and knowledge bowl.
The top five students in each category
represent our school at the Regional
Fine Arts Festival.
