KINDERGARTEN |
| The
Kindergarten at Calvin Christian School serves
as an extension of the Christian home. We
provide Christ-centered education in a caring,
Christian environment where emphasis is placed
on serving, sharing, obedience, and cooperation.
Our curriculum carefully balances both work and
play as well as individual and group activities.
Our goals are
summarized as follows:
• to be sensitive to developmental needs
• to teach Bible stories so that your child learns to trust and obey
• to develop positive Christian self-image
• to develop language, listening, and early reading skills
• to provide learning experiences essential for advanced academic skills
• to provide opportunities for self-expression through arts, crafts,
music, rhythm and play
• to improve large and small muscle motor skills
• to develop social skills in a nurturing environment |

Calvin Christian
Elementary School provides its students with a
well-rounded education, with an emphasis on
teaching the whole child.
Art, music, physical
education, as well as reading, writing, and
mathematical skills are introduced at a young
age and then developed as the child develops.
An Accelerated Reader program encourages reading
and understanding, while standardized testing
and computer instruction begins in 3rd grade. |
