Share A Few Things About Yourself
I am excited about my new position at Calvin Christian as Director of Advancement. My task is to help secure the financial future of Calvin Christian.  A main focus of this position will be to grow the Calvin Christian Endowment Fund.

My wife, Jayne, and I have been married for 40 years.  Our children, Nathan and Kelley, are graduates of Calvin Christian School.  Nathan, class of '99, and his wife April, teach at a Christian school near Jakarta, Indonesia.  They welcomed their first child, Elijah, into their family earlier this spring.  Kelley, and her husband Johnny Tiersma, both graduated from high school in 2002.  They just moved back to Escondido, which is a great joy for us as we get to see our two granddaughters, Annika and Willa, and grandson, Luke, more often. As you can see, we have been very blessed!

What Is Your Favorite Scripture?
O Lord, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth!  Ps. 8:1

How Do You Connect Faith & Learning In Your Classroom?
I believe as a Christian School we should not only connect faith and learning in the classroom but in our whole organization. We are privileged to work at Calvin with other believers. This is true of the staff and parents. I am truly blessed to have that opportunity. Calvin should be a shining light in our community of what a Christ-centered organization should look like.
