Share A Few Things About Yourself
I grew up in Panamá as a missionary kid from the time I was 8-years-old through high school. My husband, Augusutus, and I have been married for 16 years and he is a high school Bible teacher. I have 5 wonderful daughters; ages 7, 9, 11, 12, and 14. We enjoy camping and roadtripping as a family. I also love to travel, read, run, and spend time with my family.

How Do You Connect Faith & Learning In Your Classroom?
As a Spanish teacher, I have the distinct opportunity of introducing my students to different cultures and a new language. As students develop proficiency in their language skills, they will have increasing opportunities to connect with Spanish-speakers and develop relationships in which they can share their lives and Christian faith. My job in this path is to model, teach, and encourage empathy so that the classroom learning of Spanish can be translated into genuine and loving engagement with others in a Christ-like manner. My hope is that as students develop greater empathy, they will follow the Lord’s leading in their lives to minister in large and small ways to all those with whom they come in contact.
