What Is Your Favorite Scripture?
Psalm 27:4 - “One thing have I asked of the Lord, that will I seek after: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the Lord and to inquire in his temple.”
How Do You Connect Faith & Learning In Your Classroom?
I seek to integrate faith into the classroom in at least two major ways.
1. Science has a unique way of inspiring awe and wonder in students. This should come as no surprise, since the study of science is essentially the study of God’s creation, which Scripture tells us reveals the glory of God. My objective then is to take advantage of those awe-inspiring and wonder-inspiring moments and direct them to the God of the Scriptures who created all things.
2. Because science is a powerful tool for understanding the creation, it also provides us ways to steward the creation and serve others made in the image of God (think conservation, medicine, etc.). My objective then is to make students aware of the ways in which they can serve God with the knowledge that the sciences provide.
