ABOUT US

Welcome to Calvin Christian Elementary School! We hope your visit to this site leads you to a deeper understanding of the learning that takes place on our campus every day. It is our privilege to partner with parents and churches in this endeavor to prepare our students for life outside of the classroom walls. We strive to develop each child's unique abilities and guide our students to use them for a life of Christian service.

Our school continually seeks to maintain an academically challenging curriculum within a developmentally appropriate atmosphere. Wanting your child to grow intellectually, spiritually, and socially, we emphasize teaching the whole child. Art, service learning, music, Spanish (grades K-2) and physical education are part of a core curriculum that includes reading, language arts, mathematics, science, Bible and social studies. In each classroom, teachers encourage individual strengths and identify, support and develop areas of growth.

As you walk through the hallways of our school, you will witness the wide range of learning activities that take place each day both inside and outside of the classroom. Students engage in debates and discussions in class. Songs of praise and worship fill the air as classes gather for group singing. Kids laugh and play on the playgrounds and ball fields. The clicking of keyboards can be heard as students eagerly utilize the laptop computers. The sights and sounds of learning are numerous.

We encourage you to visit our campus and see what being a part of the Calvin community is all about.
