Re-blog: How to Miss a Childhood
In a time where almost everything is technologically driven, we need a few reminders to step back and be a human for a bit. As a parent, sometimes it can be a challenge to remember this. Put that phone down, turn the computer off or set that tablet down. Your child needs you. Your job is to teach and train them (Proverbs 22:6; Deut 6:6-7). That job is difficult to pull off when your attention is focused on that piece of technology in your line of sight.
Not too long ago, I read a great blog by Rachel Macy Stafford called, "How to miss a childhood" - it went viral shortly after she posted it. After reading it, I found myself examining how much time I give to the technology in my life vs. my children. Check this blog out here.
