Dear Calvin Parents,
More than ever, our families are taking the time to tell us how much they value Christian education at Calvin. Some say it’s because of the innovative educational offerings, like the implementation of Spanish and Singapore Math beginning in kindergarten. Others are telling us they are so grateful their children are in a safe environment with both teachers and curriculum that are grounded in faith and the Word of God. We too, are full of gratitude for the opportunity to teach your children and partner with you!
Once again it is the time of year when we determine enrollment, budgets, and staffing for our next academic year. Our goal is to offer you as a Calvin family, priority consideration in the enrollment process. And so, we are asking you to do several things to secure and confirm your placement at Calvin for the 2012-2013 academic year.
1) ENROLLMENT: Complete and submit the Continuing Enrollment Form, no later than March 9, 2012.

2) TUITION DEPOSIT: Submit your family $200 Enrollment Deposit by March 9, 2012. This deposit confirms your family’s placement at Calvin and will be applied to your 2012-13 tuition. Your check should be made payable to Calvin Christian School and dropped off at either school office. A return envelope is provided with this letter.
3) TUITION ASSISTANCE: If your family would like to apply for tuition assistance through Calvin’s Legacy Fund, complete the FACTS Tuition Aid form for Calvin Christian as well. This link can be directly accessed from the school website. From Calvin’s homepage, click on the Admissions tab, then the Tuition Assistance Information link. You will be able to securely enter the required information. FACTS Tuition Aid will only accept online applications this year. So again, if you do not have access to the Internet, stop by the high school office for assistance. Families qualifying for tuition assistance will receive information about their financial awards in mid-May, well before school has ended.
We appreciate immensely your consideration and timeliness, which make it possible for us to make critical decisions for next year. Due to increases in new student enrollments, all re-enrollments received after March 9 will be considered on a space-available basis only. Additionally, each family submitting re-enrollments after August 1 will be assessed an additional $100 late fee.
When filling out the enrollment form, list only the names of your children who are to be enrolled at Calvin for next year. The top portion will be used to compile our new school directory for 2012-2013. The bottom portion of the form addresses your financial commitments. Remember that you are committing to paying the tuition in a regular and timely fashion, with all payments due on the 1st of each month but delinquent on the 10th of that month. Check the appropriate payment schedule (10, 11, or 12 month). We strongly encourage as many families as possible to pay on a 10-month schedule.
Please carefully read the policies regarding finances on the enrollment form, as you will be asked to confirm that you understand your financial commitments. As always we are making every effort to keep tuition increases to a minimum. Final tuition rates will be approved at the April 24th Society Meeting.
